WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!
Downsizing and can't take everything with you?   Treating yourself to furniture, electricals and household items and your old ones are just too good to get rid of?  Disposing of  bulky items to the tip can be difficult, and is often quite expensive. Why not put these to good use,  and donate your pre-loved furniture a good home!

Your donations of furniture and electricals have been vital to both our start up and our continued growth. These have been passed on at  low cost, providing an exceptional service to families and individuals on low income.  

If you live in the North East and have re-usable furniture, household or electrical items you wish to donate, then please contact us by phone on 0191 2242116, or email us at [email protected] and we will arrange for it to be collected - free of charge!
 
We want to make the process of donating to us as stress-free as possible so we offer a free furniture collection service for people who have items to donate but are unable to bring them into our shops.  We provide a fast, efficient and friendly collection service, and are happy to receive donations of single items through to house clearances.   Please note that unfortunately  we are unable to collect from smoking households I'm afraid as we find these difficult to pass on.


Bereavement Service
At Orange Box North East we have experience of supporting bereaved families and individuals during this extremely difficult time.  Clearing a property of possessions and effects  can often be a stressful, upsetting and very daunting process. We can offer you a helping hand with our practical yet dignified approach to the house clearance process.  Unfortunately we are unable to offer a disposal service, though we do aim to recycle as much as possible and happy to provide you with information on other aspects of clearing the property.

Some items we collect

Below are just some of the items we collect, but feel free to discuss collection of items not listed here, with our office staff:

• Sofas, suites, armchairs
• Tables, chairs, desks, cabinets
• Beds and bedroom furniture
• TVs, Hi-Fis,
• White goods including washing machines, cookers, fridges/freezers, microwaves in good working order etc
• We can also collect small kitchen appliances and utensils, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac, and general household items that will transfer a house into a home!  

Some Items we can't collect

Unfortunately there are some things we can't collect. If you're not sure if we can accept your donation, please take a look at our list below, or call us to discuss.   Unfortunately we are unable to collect from smoking households I'm afraid as we find these difficult to pass on.

• We can only accept upholstered items if there is a fire safety label attached that lets us  know it meets UK safety standards.
• Mattresses, upholstered bed bases and sofas have to be in a good clean condition with no rips, tears or stains.​
• Toys, bedding, curtains and soft fabrics
• Acceptance of all items is at the discretion of the driver
